Bronze in the Caribbean: Team Argentina Shines in Jamaica
November 2023
After months of individual preparation, Team Argentina arrived in Jamaica ready to compete. With a finalized roster of 18 players, the women's team was one of seven nations vying for a place on the podium. Despite not having seen each other since the last training camp in Boston, the players quickly reconnected and began adjusting to the Caribbean heat and intense sun, determined to represent their country with pride.
The team was buoyed by the incredible support of family and friends who traveled to cheer them on, creating a strong and spirited fan base that fueled their drive throughout the tournament.
Throughout the demanding three-day event, Team Argentina dug deep—both mentally and physically. Each game tested their endurance and focus, yet the players rose to the occasion with grit and determination. With critical victories over Mexico and the United States Virgin Islands, the team secured a well-earned spot on the podium, proudly bringing home the bronze medal.
This achievement marked another historic milestone for Argentina Lacrosse, reaffirming the team’s growing presence on the international stage and its continued progress as a competitive program.
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to the parents, friends, and supporters who stood by the team throughout the tournament in Jamaica. Your encouragement and dedication were instrumental to this success.
